Assignment

In order to receive the Certificate in Research Skills for Practice, you must complete assignments from six of the certification classes you attend. The assignment for the Researching Foreign law class is due one week from the day you attended the session.  Please e-mail your assignment to sgellis@bu.edu or bring to my office in room 342.

 

Principal Legal Systems

Common Law  England, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Commonwealth States (Former UK colonies.)
Civil Law (latin “jus civile”):  Europe, Most of Central and South America, and Asia  (Predominant Legal System Globally)
Combination systems Religious and/or customary, traditional legal systems common in the Middle East and Africa.
